Christian woman in America are living in an interesting time. Gender roles are being questioned more than ever, and cultural expectations can create confusing dilemmas. How can we grow in confidence and assertiveness while still embracing the cruciform life that Jesus modeled for us? How can we honor others while also honoring the pull Jesus has on us? We often find ourselves in painful situations that cause us to wrestle with our identities, as women and as Christ followers.
In this retreat, we will meditate on the stories of some of the women in the Bible who got Jesus’ attention. We will stretch ourselves, spending extended time sitting at His feet, allowing our love for him to grow, while also discerning where Jesus is delighting in us and where he is inviting us to be take some risks. Art exploration options will be available for those interested.
